Manchester United have reportedly eyed up Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers as a possible replacement for current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Following the Red Devils' 5-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday, pressure on the Norwegian manager has grown rapidly, and the club are now said to be considering possible alternatives, should Solskjaer fail to turn around their fortunes.

According to The Sun, they have now identified Rodgers as a prime target to take over at Old Trafford, should they part ways with Solskjaer in the coming months.

The Northern Irish boss is said to be joined on the shortlist by Antonio Conte, who won Inter Milan's first Serie A title in 11 years last season and boasts a Premier League medal, and Zinedine Zidane, who won three Champions Leagues as Los Blancos boss.

After Sunday's thrashing, Manchester United now sit seventh in the Premier League, having collected just one point from the last four outings.

The Red Devils hierarchy are reportedly keen on bringing in Rodgers, who has led Leicester City to consecutive fifth-placed finishes in the top flight while also winning the FA Cup last term. body check tags ::
