Manchester City's march towards the Premier League title gathered more momentum in gameweek 24 as they swept Tottenham Hotspur aside with a 3-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester United's subsequent draw with relegation-threatened West Bromwich Albion a day later means that Man City now sit seven points clear at the top, with a game in hand over closest challenges Man United and Leicester City.

The Foxes are up in third by virtue of their 3-1 triumph over out-of-form champions Liverpool, who end the gameweek in sixth following wins for Chelsea and West Ham United on Monday night.

Arsenal beat Leeds United in an entertaining 4-2 victory at the Emirates Stadium, while there were a couple of big away wins towards the bottom of the table with Burnley cruising past Crystal Palace and Fulham shocking Everton at Goodison Park.

Wolverhampton Wanderers were also victorious on the road as they quickly avenged their FA Cup exit at Southampton, while Brighton & Hove Albion played out a goalless draw with Aston Villa.

There were a few noteworthy goalkeeping performances over the weekend, with Ederson keeping a clean sheet as well as producing an incredible assist, Sam Johnstone rescuing West Brom a point against his former club with a late fingertip save onto the post and Lukasz Fabianski making five saves to protect his clean sheet.

There was only one man getting the gloves this week, though, with Emiliano Martinez producing a man-of-the-match display to almost single-handedly keep Brighton at bay. The Villa shot-stopper made no fewer than nine saves, and without him in such fine form Brighton would have comfortably come away with a deserved three points.

Indeed, it is an all-Claret-and-Blue back five this week, with the defensive quartet evenly split between Burnley and West Ham, both of whom ran out 3-0 winners.

Matthew Lowton was the star of the show for Burnley, topping almost every meaningful defensive metric and capping his performance off with a stunning volley - grabbing his first Premier League goal for eight years in style.

James Tarkowski was not far behind in the performance stakes and he joins his clubmate at the back, while Ben Mee was also worthy of a mention despite his afternoon being cut short by a worrying-looking injury.

For West Ham, Issa Diop grabbed the second goal against Sheffield United and was assisted by Aaron Cresswell, who earns his place at left back amid a lack of any real competition in that position.

There was more competition in midfield, where Harrison Reed, Jesse Lingard and Rodri are all slightly unfortunate to miss out.

Leicester pulled off one of the wins of the weekend and so it is only right that they are represented, with Wilfred Ndidi's performance standing out. Liverpool dominated much of the game before their collapse, but Ndidi helped to limit the effectiveness of the Reds' possession before also providing an assist when Leicester took the game by the scruff of its neck.

Timo Werner stole the headlines for Chelsea as he ended his drought in the win over Newcastle United, playing a big part in both goals, but the solitary Chelsea player to make the cut in this week's team is Mateo Kovacic, who helped control the game in the middle of the park.

The Premier League's most in-form player right now is undoubtedly Ilkay Gundogan, who continued his remarkable recent purple patch in front of goal with another brace against Spurs, making it 11 goals in his last 12 league outings.

Raheem Sterling also deserves a mention from that Man City win, while Leicester duo Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy join Werner in narrowly missing out on the forward places.

Burnley's three goals are rewarded with a team-leading three selections, though, and the last of those is Jay Rodriguez, who scored the second and then set up the third in the victory at Selhurst Park.

Rodriguez drops into the support striker role in this XI, with Fulham new boy Josh Maja one of those to lead the line courtesy of his predatory match-winning brace at Goodison Park.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang went one better than that, though, returning to form in emphatic fashion with a hat-trick in Arsenal's victory over Leeds.
