Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Marcus Rashford should prioritise his football.

The England international could make his first appearance of the season on Saturday afternoon against Leicester City, having recovered from shoulder surgery.

Rashford has received praise off the pitch in the last 18 months for his campaigning on food poverty among children, which earned him an MBE last year and an honorary doctorate from the University of Manchester this month.

However, Solskjaer told reporters: "He [Rashford] is coming into the best age for a footballer and he's got a challenge on his hands here at Manchester United - and has a challenge on his hands to play for England.

"Marcus has done some remarkable and fantastic things. But now he maybe needs to prioritise his football."

The 23-year-old is approaching 300 appearances for Manchester United, but struggled with injury towards the back end of last season and was limited to substitute appearances for England at Euro 2020. body check tags ::
