Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'Pressure should make us a better team'

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer calls on his players to use the current pressure surrounding the club to inspire them.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called on his players to use the current pressure surrounding the club to help inspire them to deliver better performances.

The Red Devils have been victorious in just one of their last six Premier League matches, losing four times in the process, including a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City before the international break.

The 20-time English champions will head to Watford on Saturday afternoon knowing that only a win will be good enough to avoid more criticism.

Solskjaer has claimed that the "pressure should be a joy", and the Norwegian is hopeful that Man United can draw on their impressive away form over the last couple of years to help them overcome Claudio Ranieri's side.

"Of course, we know that with a poor run of form we put ourselves under pressure, that pressure should be a joy, it should make us a better team, make players perform at the best level and it's a game to go into and enjoy," Solskjaer told reporters.

"I don't know how many games we've had away from home. We lost to Leicester [City], but the unbeaten record before that is something we need to draw confidence from. Watford is a very big game, as every game in the Premier League is."

Solskjaer has also insisted that he does not fear losing his job at Old Trafford despite the ongoing speculation surrounding the managerial position. body check tags ::
