Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'doubts Liverpool title challenge'

By , European Football Editor | 3d
Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not believe that Liverpool can win the title this season, according to a report.

Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly told his players after Sunday's goalless draw with Liverpool that the Merseyside outfit are not good enough to win the Premier League title.

The point at Old Trafford means that Liverpool sit atop the Premier League table after 27 matches, one point clear of second-placed Manchester City ahead of Wednesday night's fixtures.

Jurgen Klopp's side have only won one of their last four in the league, though, and Solskjaer reportedly feels that the Reds will be unable to land the title this term.

"Ole was very blunt about Liverpool with his players and clearly believes they do not have enough to beat City to the title," The Sun quotes a United source as saying. "He thinks they are very one dimensional, lacking creativity. He certainly has faith that his team are a better outfit."

Liverpool will host Watford in the league on Wednesday night, while City will welcome West Ham United to the Etihad Stadium and United will travel to Crystal Palace.
