Manchester United will reportedly wait until the summer before holding contract discussions with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian had initially been under pressure to keep his job at Old Trafford until the club became Premier League title challengers at the turn of the year.

United currently sit in second position in the standings, albeit five points behind neighbours Manchester City, who also possess a game in hand.

According to The Sun, chief executive Ed Woodward will not instigate talks over a new deal until the end of the season at the earliest.

That stance comes despite Solskjaer having just under 17 months remaining on his existing terms, putting the club legend under pressure to justify his position in the dugout.

Solskjaer has recorded 70 wins and 29 defeats from his 125 matches in charge of United.
