Harry Maguire demands improvement from Manchester United

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has demanded that his side make improvements, before a week that sees Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side face Roma and Liverpool.

The Red Devils played out a goalless draw at Elland Road on Sunday and the England international has admitted that the second-placed side did not create enough chances to win the game.

This week Man United face Roma in the semi-final of the Europa League before an always anticipated fixture against rivals Liverpool on Sunday, and Maguire has said that his team must be better in both games to get a positive result.

"I feel like we had control of the game without really punishing them and creating. We created some good chances - enough to score - but we didn't create enough. We knew how they were going to play, especially here," he told Sky Sports News.

"We felt at Old Trafford in the first half that we capitalised on the areas that they left. Our attacking players love a one vs. one and, today, it just wasn't to be.

"It's a big week. We need to improve on today, for sure, we need to be more clinical in the final third. Obviously Roma in the Europa League is going to be a tough tie, but it's one we are looking forward to, and then Liverpool at Old Trafford. We've got to go into it full of confidence and try to improve on what we've shown today."

Man United are now 10 points behind leaders Manchester City, who can clinch the title if they win their next two league games. body check tags ::
