Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to shuffle the pack considerably for Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round tie with West Ham United.

The Red Devils remain without Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo, while it will likely be too soon for Phil Jones to feature, but Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles may be passed fit.

David de Gea's penalty heroics saw Man Utd take all three points home from the London Stadium at the weekend, but the Spaniard is set to make way for Tom Heaton as Dean Henderson builds up his fitness.

Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof are all set for defensive recalls, while Luke Shaw may have to continue out on the left for the time being if Telles is not given the green light to feature.

Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic will hope to be given opportunities in the middle, while Juan Mata ought to start in the hole as Bruno Fernandes is granted a well-earned rest.

The likes of Anthony Elanga and Shola Shoretire can expect to earn some minutes in the EFL Cup, but Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard - who scored the late winner against his former club on Sunday - could get the nods out wide.

With Cavani still a doubt and Cristiano Ronaldo set to watch on from the sidelines, Anthony Martial must grab his opportunity up top with both hands if he is handed an expected start.

Man United possible starting lineup: Heaton; Dalot, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; Van de Beek, Matic; Sancho, Mata, Lingard; Martial
