Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides Harry Maguire fitness update ahead of Leicester City clash

Harry Maguire has a chance of making his Manchester United return against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Harry Maguire trained alongside the first team on Friday morning.

The England international has been absent for Man United's last two matches against Villarreal and Everton with the calf problem that he suffered against Aston Villa towards the end of September.

Maguire was also seemingly set to miss out on Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City, but Solskjaer has suggested that the former Sheffield United youngster could make his return against the Foxes.

"Harry's just joined us on the grass this morning, that's the first time he's been on the grass," the Man United boss told reporters during his press conference.

Maguire's potential return would be a huge boost for the 20-time English champions, who will definitely be missing fellow centre-back Raphael Varane due to a groin problem.

Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof are likely to start as the two central defenders if Solskjaer decides against risking Maguire due to his lack of training since suffering the calf issue. body check tags ::
