How Manchester United could line up against Fulham

By , Reporter | 6d
Ahead of Saturday's's Premier League clash between Manchester United and Fulham, Sports Mole looks at how Jose Mourinho's side could line up at Old Trafford.

Manchester United play host to Fulham on Saturday afternoon having failed to record a win in their last four games in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho has watched his side come from behind to salvage draws against Southampton and Arsenal, but it has not boosted the club's hopes of achieving a top-four spot at the end of the campaign.

United currently sit in eighth position in the standings and while the North-West giants sit eight points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, they are also only three ahead of 11th-placed Watford.

Mourinho has a number of selection dilemmas ahead of the game at Old Trafford, and here Sports Mole looks at how his team could line up against the Cottagers.

Out: Alexis Sanchez (thigh), Victor Lindelof (thigh),
Doubtful: Luke Shaw (knock), Phil Jones (knock), Anthony Martial (thigh)

Mourinho went with a 3-4-3 formation against Arsenal, but the Portuguese could revert to four at the back for the visit of the West Londoners.

Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are in contention to feature either side of the backline after injury and suspension respectively, but Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling are likely to be assessed after Wednesday's fixture with Arsenal.

Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera should retain their places in the team, with Paul Pogba potentially being brought back into the fold after only being named as a substitute in midweek.

Juan Mata did not get onto the pitch against the Gunners so the Spaniard could be recalled, and the playmaker may replace Anthony Martial who was forced off with a minor injury.

Romelu Lukaku could also start for United having featured as a replacement against Arsenal.
