Samir Nasri set for Antalyaspor switch?

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is said to be closing in on a switch to Turkish Super Lig outfit Antalyaspor.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is said to be edging closer to a move to Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor.

The 30-year-old has been with City since 2011 and was a key part of the side that won the Premier League in the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons.

Pep Guardiola deemed the former France international surplus to requirements following his arrival at the Etihad last summer, however, and promptly farmed him out on loan to Sevilla last term.

A number of sides across Europe have been interested in a permanent deal for Nasri this summer, although his alleged high wage demands of around £170,000 a week have proved prohibitive in discussions over his exit.

According to The Sun, Antalyaspor are now confident of securing a deal over a move that will see him join the likes of Samuel Eto'o and Jeremy Menez at the side, which finished fifth in the Super Lig last season.

Nasri is reportedly valued at £17m by City.
