Report: Pep Guardiola wants Marcos Llorente at Manchester City

A report claims that Real Madrid fringe player Marcos Llorente is a summer transfer target for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly wants to add Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente to his squad for next season.

The Citizens are still scouting the market for a new holding midfielder after missing out on a number of targets over the past few windows.

Don Balon claims that Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl was Guardiola's most desired player, but that move has been blocked by the German side.

The report indicates that the Catalan coach is now focused on signing Llorente, who has been restricted to just four starts in La Liga this season.

Llorente has also been used only once since Zinedine Zidane returned to the club last month, playing 79 minutes of the 3-2 home win against Huesca.
