Leicester City are reportedly prepared to lower their asking price for Riyad Mahrez following the January drama.

The Algerian international made it clear that he wanted to leave the King Power Stadium in the winter window, but the Foxes priced him out of a move.

Widespread reports claimed that the 2015-16 Premier League champions wanted a fee in the region of £95m, but interested party Manchester City were not prepared to meet thie figure.

Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, Leicester want to avoid a repeat of Mahrez's behaviour, which involved the winger refusing to train, so they are prepared to lower the asking price.

City are believed to be in the market for a new winger in order to provide competition for Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.
