Liverpool are reportedly intending to sign Ozan Kabak on a permanent deal this summer.

The 21-year-old joined the Reds on loan from Schalke 04 in January, and the centre-back has been a regular since his arrival at Anfield, making nine appearances in all competitions.

As it stands, Kabak is due to return to his parent club in June, but the reigning Premier League champions have the option of signing him on a permanent basis.

According to 90min, Jurgen Klopp's side have been impressed by the defender's performances this year and are ready to trigger their buy option at the end of the campaign.

The report claims that Liverpool paid a loan fee of £1.5m for Kabak but will need to transfer an extra £18m to Schalke in order to secure the the Turkey international on a long-term basis.

The Reds are also believed to be interested in signing RB Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate.
