Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'Manchester City have attacking discipline'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp claims that the biggest strength of Premier League leaders Manchester City is their "attacking discipline".

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that it is difficult to defend against the "attacking discipline" of Manchester City.

On Sunday afternoon, Premier League leaders City make the short trip to Anfield having won 20 and drawn two of their 22 league fixtures, giving the club a 15-point advantage at the top of the standings.

City have not won away at Liverpool for 15 years, but Klopp has claimed that his side will have to produce an almost faultless performance to keep out Pep Guardiola's side.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "Their biggest strength is their attacking discipline. What they do, they do it fantastically.

"They have a world-class player in every position. You can defend it of course, but it is very difficult.

"On a good day, we have a really good level but we have had a few days where we haven't had that consistency. Until the City game, we were pretty much level but after that we struggled and City didn't. They used the momentum and we suffered."

Liverpool are likely to be boosted by the return from injury of top goalscorer Mohamed Salah.
