Real Madrid square off against Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday evening having enjoyed their best week of the season.

Los Blancos impressed during the first leg of their quarter-final tie with the Premier League outfit, claiming a deserved 3-1 victory in Madrid.

Four days later, Zinedine Zidane witnessed his side edge out domestic rivals Barcelona, earning a result which has kept the club in the La Liga title race.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the visit to Merseyside.

Sergio Ramos

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Ramos suffered a calf injury while on international duty with Spain, resulting in the club captain being ruled out of both legs against Liverpool.

Raphael Varane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: April 18 (vs. Getafe)

Varane was forced to miss the first fixture with Liverpool after recording a positive coronavirus test. Keeping in line with regulations, the Frenchman will not be available again until the La Liga contest with Getafe on April 18.

Eden Hazard

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 14 (vs. Liverpool)

While Hazard has been making progress in training after a muscular injury, it has been reported that the winger will not be considered for a place in the squad on Wednesday night. That is yet to be confirmed by Zidane, but it appears likely that the Belgian will not return until the weekend.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Carvajal has been battling a hamstring problem he sustained against Valencia in the middle of February, and the right-back is still not ready to return to first-team action.

Lucas Vazquez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Vazquez was forced off during the first half of El Clasico after failing to recover from a strong tackle from Sergio Busquets. Real have since confirmed that the versatile right-sided player is likely to miss the rest of the season after spraining his cruciate ligament.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Los Blancos have no players suspended for this game.
