Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Watford on Saturday.

Liverpool will aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to Watford on Saturday lunchtime following the international break.

Jurgen Klopp's side played out an enthralling 2-2 draw with Manchester City before the international break, with goals form Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne cancelling out Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah's efforts.

The Reds occupy second spot in the league table after seven matches, but the hectic fixture schedule is once again set to add to Klopp's frustrations this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 16 (vs. Watford)

Thiago Alcantara suffered a calf injury against Crystal Palace earlier this month and was initially ruled out until after the international break, but there are concerns that he will not be ready for Saturday after he was not spotted in training images earlier this week.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Harvey Elliott is on the long road to recovery after a serious ankle injury and will not return until the latter stages of the season, that is if he is given the green light to play again this term.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 16 (vs. Watford)

Trent Alexander-Arnold was not able to link up with the England squad due to a groin injury, but the right-back is reportedly back in training and should be available for selection this weekend.

Divock Origi

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: October 16 (vs. Watford)

Divock Origi was not fit to face Man City due to illness and remains a doubt for this contest, which could be a bitter blow to Klopp given another potential attacking absentee.

Diogo Jota

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 16 (vs. Watford)

Diogo Jota was forced to withdraw from the Portugal squad due to a muscular problem, but he has returned to training and should be fine here.

Alisson Becker

Status: Out
Type of injury: Other
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Atletico Madrid)

First-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker will not be available for this clash due to his late return from international duty with Brazil, with a lunchtime Saturday kickoff too quick a turnaround.

Fabinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Other
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Atletico Madrid)

Similarly, Fabinho's final game for Brazil this month will be in the early hours of Friday morning UK time, and the midfielder has been ruled out of this contest.

Curtis Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Atletico Madrid)

Curtis Jones has begun to establish himself as a key member of Klopp's squad in recent weeks, but the midfielder returned from international duty with a groin issue and will not be available here.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
