Leicester City announce that Poland midfielder Bartosz Kapustka has joined Belgian second-side Leuven - managed by ex-Foxes boss Nigel Pearson - on a season-long loan.

Leicester City midfielder Bartosz Kapustka has joined Belgian side Leuven on a season-long loan.

The Poland international will spend the remainder of the season with the club managed by former Foxes boss Nigel Pearson.

Kapustka joined Leicester in the summer of 2016 from Polish side Cracovia after impressing for his nation at Euro 2016 and has featured regularly for their Under-23 side.

However, the 21-year-old has seldom featured for Leicester's senior team and will seek to get more first-team football playing for the Belgian second-tier outfit.

"Kapustka will be eligible to make his debut for OHL in Saturday's home game against Westerlo, where he could feature alongside fellow Leicester City loanees Elliott Moore and Kamal Sowah," a Foxes statement said.

The Pole was loaned to Bundesliga side Freiburg last season and made four starts and five substitute appearances, scoring once.
