Leicester City have reportedly been dealt a blow in a bid to sign Aberdeen full-back Calvin Ramsay, with the SPL side not wanting to sell him.

Leicester City have been dealt a transfer blow in their attempt to sign Aberdeen full-back Calvin Ramsay, according to a report.

The Foxes are hoping to bolster their squad in the final days of the January transfer window, but one of their main targets now looks unlikely to be leaving his club.

Brendan Rodgers is hoping to add some further strength in depth, particularly to his back four after the squad have been hampered with a variety of injuries throughout this season.

According to The Telegraph, Aberdeen are keen to keep hold of the teenager, despite interest from a variety of clubs around Europe, including Leicester.

Because of that, any move for Ramsay now looks unlikely to take place within this transfer window, meaning potential buyers will have to wait until the summer to try and secure his signature.
