Rangers are reportedly ready to offer attacker Ryan Kent a new contract at Ibrox in the hope that it will see off interest from Leeds United.

The 24-year-old has been an integral part of Steven Gerrard's side this season having featured in all of Rangers' league games, in the year that they ended Old Firm rivals Celtic's reign at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Gerrard is believed to be keen to tie down Kent to Rangers in a new deal, so that he can help the team with their Champions League campaign next season.

According to the Daily Record, the Premier League outfit had a bid of £10m rejected last summer by the Scottish club, but Leeds are expected to try again in the next transfer window.

The report suggests that the chief executives at Ibrox will want to maximise their profit on Kent, who they paid £7.5m for, and as the club have won the league this season, the Englishman's value is set to increase.

Kent arrived at Ibrox in 2018 and has gone on to make 126 appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals and providing 27 assists.
