Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is willing to extend his contract at Elland Road, according to a report.

The 26-year-old has developed into a key player and a fan favourite for his boyhood club, making 227 appearances across all competitions since his debut back in 2014.

Phillips is set to be one of the most sought-after midfielders in the summer, with a number of Premier League clubs including Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham United all interested in his services.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Phillips – who is currently under contract until June 2024 – has told Leeds that he is ready to commit his future to the club and put pen to paper on a contract extension.

The report adds, though, that Phillips is in the process of changing his agent and so his future is unlikely to be resolved until the end of the current campaign.

The England international's future may also depend on whether Leeds maintain their Premier League status, with Jesse Marsch's men currently sitting eight points clear of the relegation zone having played at least a game more than the four teams below them.

Phillips, who is also understood to have attracted interest from clubs competing for places in the Champions League, has endured an injury-hit 2021-22 campaign, featuring only 13 times in the Premier League.
