Sports Mole previews Saturday's Serie A clash between Juventus and Torino, including team news and predicted lineups.

Juventus will be looking for their seventh straight victory in Serie A when they welcome Turin rivals Torino to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Old Lady currently sit four points clear of second-placed Lazio at the top of the table, while Torino occupy 14th, six points clear of the relegation zone in Italy's top flight.

Match preview

Juve have not been without their problems this season, but the Old Lady are the team to catch in Italy's top flight, with a return of 72 points from 29 matches leaving them top of the table.

Maurizio Sarri's side have now won their last six in the league, including victories over Bologna, Lecce and Genoa since returning to action following the lockdown period.

The reigning champions are four points clear of second-placed Lazio, while it does appear that Inter Milan are out of the race as they are eight points behind Juve on the same number of games (29).

Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo and Douglas Costa were on the scoresheet in Tuesday's 3-1 success at Genoa, and there is no question that Sarri's side will be eyeing another three points this weekend ahead of a huge game away to AC Milan on Tuesday night.

Juve ran out 1-0 winners in the reverse match against Torino earlier this season, although the corresponding fixture at the home of the champions last term ended in a 1-1 draw.

Torino have not played outside of Italy's top flight since the 2011-12 campaign, while they actually finished seventh last term, losing just seven of their 38 matches.

The Turin side have struggled for consistency this season, though, picking up just 31 points from their 29 matches to sit 14th in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Moreno Longo's side drew with Parma and beat Udinese in their first two matches after the lockdown period last month, but they have lost their last two against Cagliari and Lazio.

The fact that two of Torino's next three matches are away to Juve and Inter is a slight concern as they look to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle in the final weeks of the season.

Juve have dominated this fixture, meanwhile, winning 71 of their 149 Serie A meetings, while Torino have not triumphed in the Turin derby since April 2015.

Team News

Juve will again be without the services of Mattia De Sciglio, Alex Sandro, Sami Khedira, Giorgio Chiellini and Merih Demiral through injury, but the Old Lady did not pick up any fresh concerns against Genoa.

Danilo returned from suspension to start against Genoa and that is again expected to be the case here, while Adrien Rabiot could keep his spot in the middle of the park at Aaron Ramsey's expense.

There are not expected to be many changes from the side that started on Tuesday, although Costa could be rotated into the first XI in place of Federico Bernardeschi.

As for Torino, Daniele Baselli is out for the season with a knee injury, but the visitors are otherwise in good shape as they prepare to face their rivals this weekend.

Simone Zaza was left on the bench against Lazio on Tuesday due to a slight injury, but the Italian is expected to return to the starting XI for this game, joining Andrea Belotti in the final third.

Alex Berenguer is also pushing for a spot in the side, although Longo is expected to largely keep faith with the XI that performed impressively against Lazio.

Juventus possible starting lineup:
Szczesny; Cuadrado, De Ligt, Bonucci, Danilo; Rabiot, Pjanic, Bentancur; Costa, Dybala, Ronaldo

Torino possible starting lineup:
Sirigu; Lyanco, N'Koulou, Bremer; Aina, Lukic, Rincon, Meite, De Silvestri; Belotti, Verdi

We say: Juventus 2-0 Torino

Torino are certainly capable of making it a difficult afternoon for the champions, but it is tough to back against Juve due to their excellent form. We fancy a relatively routine home victory, which would move Sarri's side seven points clear at the summit before second-placed Lazio take on Milan.
