Sports Mole previews Monday's International Friendlies clash between Serbia and Jamaica, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

Jamaica's Gold Cup preparations continue this week with the team set to take on Serbia in an international friendly at the Miki Athletic Stadium on Monday night.

A niche encounter on paper, the last time these two sides met was actually only back in 2014, with Serbia winning that tie 2-1.

Match preview

With no European Championship to prepare for this summer, Serbia face a quiet few months after this game, with their next competitive fixture being their World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg in early September.

Head coach Dragan Stojkovic will be very pleased with how their World Cup qualification campaign has gone so far, with the Eagles unbeaten in their first three games.

With wins against Ireland and Azerbaijan and a stoic 2-2 draw against Portugal, Serbia find themselves second in Group A with seven points to their name.

Key to the success of Stojkovic's Serbia side is Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has bagged five goals in three qualification games for the national side.

Jamaica have just this one game to prepare for the start of the CONCACAF Gold Cup next month, with their opening game against Suriname edging closer and closer.

Last time the Reggae Boyz graced the field was back in March, when they were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by a far superior USA team.

Outgunned by the likes of Christian Pulisic, Giovanni Reyna and Sebastian Lletget, the only goal for Jamaica came from Swansea City's Jamal Lowe.

Having struggled against the USA, Theodore Whitmore's men may also find the likes of Mitrovic particularly hard to contain on Monday night.

Team News

Stojkovic pulled no punches in his squad announcement, with heavy-hitters like Mitrovic, Nemanja Maksimovic and Nemanja Gudelj all in contention to start on Monday night.

Luka Jovic and Dusan Tadic are the notable absentees in attack, but Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic could look to make a name for himself up front.

Jamaica's starting 11 could feature the likes of Andre Grey, Ravel Morrison and Adrian Mariappa.

West Ham United striker Michail Antonio will not feature in this tie, with the player having not filled in the necessary paperwork in time to formally link up with the national team.

Serbia possible starting lineup:
Rajkovic; Spajic, S Mitrovic, Pavlovic; Lazovic, Maksimovic, Gudelj, Grujic, Duricic; Mitrovic, Vlahovic

Jamaica possible starting lineup:
White; Mariappa, Moore, Pinnock, Bell; Morrison, Isaacs, Hector, Palmer, Reid; Grey

We say: Serbia 3-0 Jamaica

There are no two ways of looking at it, Serbia are playing some delightful football at the moment and look to be becoming a really dangerous side. We are going for a big 3-0 scoreline.
