Inter Miami have announced the loan addition of Wolverhampton Wanderers Leonardo Campana.

The Premier League outfit signed the Ecuador international in January 2020, but the prospect is yet to make his first-team debut at Molineux.

Instead, the 21-year-old has spent loan periods at Famalicao and Grasshopper Zurich, contributing a total of five goals from 25 appearances.

Rather than continue his stint in Switzerland, Campana will now spend a year in the MLS after Inter Miami negotiated loan terms with Wolves.

In announcing the deal, Inter Miami said that they hold "a purchase option" for the player, who has 18 months remaining on his Wolves contract.

Inter Miami get their MLS campaign underway on February 26 when they play host to Chicago Fire. body check tags ::
