Ernesto Valverde future

Ernesto Valverde's future as Barcelona boss has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks, with club legend Xavi being lined up as a possible replacement.
Despite leading Barcelona to back-to-back La Liga titles, Valverde's position is said to have become untenable on the back of the Spanish Super Cup defeat to Atletico Madrid.
The 55-year-old was appointed by the Spanish giants in May 2017 and has previously managed the likes of Valencia and Athletic Bilbao.
Xavi, who spent 17 years in Barcelona's first team, is said to have rejected the chance to succeed Valverde at this moment in time.
Current Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman and ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino have also been tipped to take over at Camp Nou.
