Channel 4 will replay the full 1966 World Cup final on Sunday at 1.30pm in support of the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal.

The match, which took place on July 30, 1966, saw England beat West Germany 4-2 after extra time in one of the most incident-packed finals ever to lift the Jules Rimet trophy for the first and so far only time.

Viewers will now have the chance to watch the final again alongside Sir Geoff Hurst, who scored a hat-trick in the final and will provide insight into the day.

"Revisiting that special day in 1966 always brings back many fantastic memories and I am certain the re-broadcast of the match by the Final Replay team will bring a smile to many at a difficult time - and help raise funds for the vital National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal," Hurst said in a statement.

Final Replay '66 will be hosted by Gabby Logan and will also contain the insights of former England player and manager Glenn Hoddle.

All donations made by the public throughout the Final Replay '66 show will be matched by NatWest up to a value of £1.5m.
