Australia boss Bert van Marwijk "very disappointed" with Denmark draw

Australia manager Bert van Marwijk insists that his side were unlucky to only draw with Denmark at the World Cup.

Australia manager Bert van Marwijk has admitted that he was "very disappointed" with his side's 1-1 draw with Denmark at the World Cup finals.

The Socceroos boss insisted that his side deserve more than one point from their group campaign so far, having pushed France all the way during a 2-1 defeat in their previous match.

"I feel we should have won. It's like against France: I'm disappointed and proud, and feel we deserved more. I honestly think we've deserved four points from these two games. So I'm very disappointed," Van Marwijk told reporters during his post-match press conference.

"It is just the last piece of the puzzle we are missing. Now we must concentrate on Peru; the rest, in terms of whether we can qualify, we cannot influence."

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring for Denmark before Australia rescued a point from the penalty spot via Mile Jedinak.
