How Denmark could line up against Russia

Denmark need to beat Russia by two or more goals and hope that Finland lose against Belgium in order to finish in the top two in Group B and progress to the next round of Euro 2020.

The Danes, who have been beaten by Finland and Belgium at this summer's European Championship, need to score goals on Monday, meaning that head coach Kasper Hjulmand is expected to change his formation.

The Red and Whites lined up with a back five against Belgium but are unlikely to do so here, meaning that there could be a return in the final third of the field for Jonas Wind.

Wind was not used against Belgium, having found it difficult to make his mark against Finland, but the 22-year-old could join Martin Braithwaite and Yussuf Poulsen as part of a front three.

Jannik Vestergaard is expected to be the player to drop out of the defensive unit, with Mathias Jensen potentially coming into the midfield alongside Thomas Delaney and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Hjulmand has plenty of other attacking options, with Kasper Dolberg and Andreas Cornelius also pushing for starts, but Denmark will not want to come flying out of the gate and leave themselves exposed at the other end.

As a result, it is expected to be a 4-3-3 formation for the Danes, who will be looking to use the emotion from their first two matches to inspire them to the next round of the competition.

Denmark possible starting lineup: Schmeichel; Wass, Kjaer, Christensen, Maehle; Delaney, Hojbjerg, Jensen; Braithwaite, Wind, Poulsen
