How Denmark could line up against Czech Republic

Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand has a number of big decisions to make when it comes to team selection for Saturday's Euro 2020 quarter-final with Switzerland.

Captain Simon Kjaer had to be replaced in the latter stages of the 4-0 win over Wales in the round of 16, but the experienced centre-back is expected to be available for selection in the last-eight contest.

Daniel Wass and Yussuf Poulsen were both injured for Denmark's last game; the pair are likely to be available for this match, and the former should be back in the starting XI as the right-sided wing-back.

Poulsen, though, might have to accept a spot on the bench, as Martin Braithwaite, Kasper Dolberg and Mikkel Damsgaard impressed as the front three in the round of 16.

Dolberg netted twice in what was a dominant Denmark display, while Braithwaite scored his country's fourth of the contest late on and should again line up in a forward area.

There are not expected to be any surprises in the middle of the park, with Thomas Delaney once again being joined by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Joakim Maehle is another player who has made a strong impression for the Red and Whites this summer, and the 24-year-old will be the left-sided wing-back against the Czech Republic this weekend.

Denmark possible starting lineup: Schmeichel; Christensen, Kjaer, Vestergaard; Wass, Hojbjerg, Delaney, Maehle; Braithwaite, Dolberg, Damsgaard
