Now, the sporting world is slowly looking at ways to emerge from the crisis, with top-level action beginning to return behind closed doors.

Friday evening's headlines:

Seven players have now withdrawn from the PGA Tour event for reasons relating to Covid-19. Read more.
Play will resume on July 30 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Read more.
The coronavirus crisis has played havoc with the sporting calendar since March, but slowly things are returning to normal. Read more.
