West Ham United are reportedly close to agreeing a season-long loan deal with Chelsea for striker Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old is believed to be one of David Moyes's top targets this summer, with the Scotsman looking to add a centre-forward to his ranks to provide competition for Michail Antonio.

The Hammers are understood to have tabled a £30m offer to Chelsea for Broja, which includes an upfront payment of £25m plus an additional £5m in bonuses.

However, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has publicly stated that he has no intention of selling the Albania international and is keen to see how he performs in pre-season before making a final decision on his future.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham accept Chelsea's current stance on Broja and are now willing to take the striker on a season-long loan deal with a potential option to sign him permanently next summer.

Broja enjoyed a successful spell on loan with Southampton last season, scoring nine goals in 38 appearances across all tournaments, and he previously impressed on loan with Dutch side Vitesse.

The striker has, however, made only one senior appearance for Chelsea, coming on as a substitute for a four-minute cameo against Everton back in March 2020.

Even though Broja put pen to paper on a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge last summer, keeping him at the club until June 2026, his future with the Blues remains uncertain.

Broja's mother has previously stated that regular first-team football is a priority for her son next season, something which Moyes could provide the striker should he decide to join West Ham.

The Hammers could potentially face competition from a number of other European clubs for Broja's signature, including Everton, Newcastle United, Southampton and Serie A outfit Napoli.

West Ham have also identified Sassuolo marksman Gianluca Scamacca as a possible target, with the Italian club's CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirming that the East Londoners have made a €40m (£34m) bid plus add-ons for the 23-year-old.

Meanwhile, the Hammers are also understood to have lodged a €38m (£32.3m) bid plus add-ons for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, with the French club "seriously considering" the offer having previously rebuffed two bids from the Premier League side.

West Ham have already spent just over £50m on three new signings this summer, with centre-back Nayef Aguerd, goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and midfielder Flynn Downes all moving to the London Stadium. body check tags ::
