Nottingham Forest are reportedly set to make a summer bid for Barcelona winger Abde Ezzalzouli.

The 21-year-old, who is commonly known as Ez Abde, is currently spending a loan spell with La Liga side Osasuna.

Abde has scored three goals and provided two assists across 23 competitive appearances this term, helping Osasuna reach the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The Moroccan scored the winning goal in the club's quarter-final tie against Sevilla, and his strike in the first leg of their last four meeting with Athletic Bilbao has given Osasuna a narrow 1-0 lead ahead of the away leg next month.

Although Osasuna would be keen to retain Abde's services, he is expected to return to Barcelona at the end of the season.

Abde joined Barcelona from Hercules in 2021, but he has only made 12 appearances for the senior side, chipping in with one goal.

There has been a suggestion that Abde is likely to remain with the Catalan giants for the 2023-24 campaign.

However, due to Barcelona's financial situation, they could be tempted to sanction a sale if they receive a significant offer during the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest have previously been linked with Abde, and according to La Razon, they are willing to make a bid in the summer.

They will face competition for Abde's signature though, with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers all prepared to submit offers.

Like Wolves, Steve Cooper's side would only be able to make a credible move for the Morocco international if they avoid relegation.

Forest, who occupy 17th position in the Premier League table, are just two points clear of the drop zone, while 13th-placed Wolves are one point better off.

Abde is also attracting interest from a number of La Liga clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Real Betis, with the latter considering a loan move.

With Abde under contract until June 2026, Barcelona will be in a strong negotiating position should they decide to sell.

The Barcelona loanee made three appearances in Morocco's run to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals, and he is currently with his national side preparing for friendly fixtures against Brazil and Peru. body check tags ::
