Chelsea are reportedly expected to loan out Fikayo Tomori during the January transfer window.

The England international had been on the verge of joining West Ham United on a temporary basis earlier this year, only to reject the chance of a switch to the London Stadium.

Despite wishing to fight for his place in the Chelsea XI, Antonio Rudiger's return to the fold has resulted in the 22-year-old not making an appearance since September 29.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are willing to loan out the versatile defender for the second part of the season.

Frank Lampard included fellow fringe player Andreas Christensen on the substitutes' bench against Newcastle United, an indication that the Dane is above Tomori in the pecking order.

Tomori, who has a contract until 2024, will not be short of interest having received offers from home and abroad throughout the summer.
