Chelsea defender Gary Cahill an option for AC Milan?

A report claims that AC Milan may make a move for long-serving Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, who has indicated that he wants to leave the Blues next year.

AC Milan are reportedly weighing up a January bid for Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill as they are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements.

The Rossoneri will be without Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and Mattia Caldara for several weeks because of injury problems.

With their sick list growing, Corriere dello Sport claims that Milan may be about to turn to long-serving Chelsea ace Cahill, who indicated earlier this season that he is considering a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Milan, whose only fit recognised central defender is Cristian Zapata, are said to consider the ex-England international as a quick-fix option at the back.

Cahill is due to be out of contract with the Blues, where he has spent the last seven years, at the end of the season.
