Chelsea are reportedly not interested in taking up their buy-back clause for Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga.

Despite only making one appearance for the Blues, Boga has made a name for himself in Italy with eight goals and four assists in the 2019-20 Serie A campaign.

According to The Guardian, Chelsea have decided against exercising their £13m buy-back clause for the 23-year-old, and instead want to negotiate a sell-on clause.

The report claims that Boga is likely to be sold by Sassuolo this summer, with Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso said to be weighing up an approach for the Ivory Coast international.

The player's solitary appearance for Chelsea came in the opening match of the 2017-18 Premier League season against Burnley, but the winger only managed 18 minutes of the fixture and was sold to Sassuolo in the summer of 2018.

Boga's current deal with the Italian outfit is set to expire at the end of the 2021-22 season. body check tags ::
