Alvaro Morata 'wants to quit Chelsea'

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata reportedly wants to leave the club after enduring a difficult first campaign in England.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata reportedly wants to leave the club after enduring a difficult first campaign in England.

The Spanish international scored 15 goals in 47 appearances for the Blues last term, but failed to make his country's World Cup squad.

According to The Mirror, Morata will inform Chelsea chiefs in the next week that he wants to leave West London ahead of the new campaign.

The newspaper says that Chelsea could sell the 25-year-old for between £65m and £70m, more than the club-record £60m that they paid for him last summer.

Morata's current deal at Stamford Bridge runs until 2022.
