Fulham vs. Liverpool (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Liverpool will once again kick off another Premier League season against a newly-promoted side, as Fulham play host to the Reds at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's men were forced to accept second best again last season, while the Cottagers are aiming to avoid a swift demotion back down to the second tier.

We say: Fulham 0-4 Liverpool

Fulham may have made some eye-catching acquisitions this summer, but Silva's side are still prone to the odd lacklustre defensive showing, and a full-strength Liverpool need no second invitation to take advantage.

Klopp has far more injuries to contend with than he would have liked at this point of the season, but we cannot see past a routine win for the title hopefuls on the opening day.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Bournemouth vs. Aston Villa (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Resuming life in the top flight after a two-year hiatus, promoted Bournemouth welcome Aston Villa to the Vitality Stadium for their Premier League opener on Saturday.

While the Cherries took second spot in the Championship last season, to regain their place in the English elite, Villa had to settle for a mid-table finish after a campaign beset by inconsistency.

We say: Bournemouth 1-2 Aston Villa

Beaten just three times in 23 home games last season, albeit at Championship level, Bournemouth will be no pushovers at their own headquarters - but there is a gulf in quality between these two squads.

Since returning to the top-flight themselves three years ago, Villa have built a setup worthy of the top half, and can use their superior firepower to take three points back to Birmingham.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Leeds vs. Wolves (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers get their Premier League campaign underway with a fixture at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

The home side are hoping for a much-improved season after dramatically avoiding relegation in 2021-22, while Wolves are under pressure to bounce back from a number of deflating performances during the run-in.

We say: Leeds United 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

While both managers will be satisfied with how their respective pre-seasons played out, we can see only one winner at the weekend. Without a recognised centre-forward in their squad, Wolves would take a draw if it was handed to them right now, but Leeds should have enough quality and enthusiasm to run out comfortable victors.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest commence their 2022-23 Premier League campaign with a fixture at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon.

While the Magpies are targeting European qualification this season, newly-promoted Forest are simply looking to make a statement on their return to the top flight after more than two decades away.

We say: Newcastle United 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Given the standard of players that have been signed by Forest, it would be naive to rule out the visitors from causing a surprise in the North-East. However, despite Forest likely to have a spring in their step, Newcastle's greater quality and experience should shine through come the final whistle.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Spurs vs. Southampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to make the perfect start to their 2022-23 Premier League campaign when they welcome Southampton to North London on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs finished fourth in the table last season and are therefore preparing for a return to the Champions League, while Southampton were 15th, just five points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Southampton

This is a tough opener for Southampton, and we are finding it very difficult to predict anything other than a defeat for the Saints. Tottenham were strong towards the end of last season and look in good shape for the 2022-23 campaign, so we can only see a comfortable home victory here.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Everton vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 5.30pm)

One of the most intriguing fixtures on the opening weekend of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign will take place at Goodison Park on Saturday, as Everton welcome Chelsea in the late start.

The Toffees finished down in 16th position last season, only narrowly avoiding relegation to the Championship, while Chelsea were third, five points clear of fifth-place Arsenal in the battle for the Champions League spots.

We say: Everton 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea are not quite where they want to be leading into the new season, but the same can also be said for Everton, who are short in the final third due to Calvert-Lewin's injury. We are expecting a very tight match and would not be surprised to see a draw, but Chelsea should just have enough to emerge victorious.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
