Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture against Newcastle United.

Chelsea conclude their dismal 2022-23 Premier League campaign by hosting Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

Such has been the Blues' demise over the course of the season that they head into the meeting with the Magpies with the target of finishing in 11th place in the standings.

Caretaker manager Frank Lampard has been dealing with a lengthy injury list for some time, and that shows no sign of abating ahead of squaring off against one of the teams of the season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with opponents in Newcastle, who secured their spot in the Champions League earlier this week.

Ben Chilwell

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ben Chilwell picked up a hamstring injury in the latter stages of the clash with Bournemouth earlier this month, and he will not be considered for a return on Sunday.

Armando Broja

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Armando Broja suffered a serious knee injury in a friendly towards the end of last year, and the forward will not be available for Chelsea until next season.

Mason Mount

Status: Out
Type of injury: Pelvic
Possible return date: Unknown

Mason Mount recently underwent surgery to address a pelvic problem which has proven difficult to overcome, yet it has led to a recent return to the training pitch. An appearance on Sunday is highly unlikely, however, with his long-term future at Stamford Bridge shrouded in uncertainty.

Marc Cucurella

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: May 28 (vs. Newcastle)

At one stage, it was deemed likely that Marc Cucurella would return from a thigh injury before the end of the season. However, with the Spaniard remaining unavailable for the Man United match, Lampard may take no risks with the Spaniard's fitness.

Reece James

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Reece James is out for the remainder of the season due to the hamstring problem that he suffered in the Champions League tie with Real Madrid.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

N'Golo Kante had made a successful return to action after hamstring surgery until he injured his groin in training earlier this month. Lampard has admitted that the Frenchman will now sit out the rest of the season.

Mateo Kovacic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: May 28 (vs. Newcastle)

Having gone into the Forest game earlier this month with an unspecified issue, Mateo Kovacic only lasted until half time. The Croatian has not featured since then, seemingly leaving him on the sidelines for the remainder of the campaign.

Benoit Badiashile

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Lampard revealed before the Man City fixture that Benoit Badiashile had sustained a groin injury in training, and it has since been revealed that the defender could be sidelined for as many as four months.

Raheem Sterling

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 28 (vs. Newcastle United)

With Raheem Sterling being left out of the England squad for June's fixtures and not featuring versus Man United, it appears likely that the winger will not play any part of the final game of the season.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for this match.
