Neil Warnock: 'Vincent Tan not actively looking to sell Cardiff City'

Neil Warnock plays down reports claiming that Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan is looking to sell the club, saying chairman Mehmet Dalman 'wouldn't tell him any lies'.

Neil Warnock has claimed that Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan is not looking to sell the Championship club.

Earlier this week, a Daily Star report suggested that a 32-page brochure advertising the Bluebirds had been prepared by London-based WMG Advisors for potential investors.

However, Cardiff manager Warnock responded by telling BBC Sport: "I only had to speak to one person and that's Mehmet [Dalman, chairman], and Mehmet wouldn't tell me any lies.

"I trust him totally and [the sale speculation] was put to bed within half an hour. I think fans always doubt owners wherever they are.

"All I know is that since I've been here... [chief executive] Ken Choo and Vincent have been really supportive and I've got the players in that I want, so I've nothing but praise for them really."

Cardiff have signed winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, striker Danny Ward and midfielders Loic Damour and Lee Tomlin this summer.
