How Brighton & Hove Albion could line up against Leicester City

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Brighton & Hove Albion could line up for their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Saturday night.

Brighton & Hove Albion will be desperate to put their controversial defeat to West Bromwich Albion behind them when they welcome Leicester City to the Amex Stadium on Saturday night.

Seagulls manager Graham Potter has plenty to ponder when it comes to team selection, especially when taking into account the fact that Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck both missed from the spot last weekend.

Tariq Lamptey is finally nearing a return from a serious hamstring problem, but Potter has revealed that the right-back has suffered a setback and is out of this game, so Joel Veltman will continue there for now.

With Solly March now sidelined for the rest of the season, Brighton could stick with the four-at-the-back system from their defeat at The Hawthorns as Lewis Dunk, Ben White and Dan Burn all retain their places.

Yves Bissouma is untouchable in midfield, and despite Gross's penalty miss at the weekend, only Kevin De Bruyne has created more chances than him since Brighton were promoted in 2017 and he is unlikely to drop out.

Alexis Mac Allister may find his spot under threat from Adam Lallana following last weekend's half-time substitution, while Leandro Trossard and Alireza Jahanbakhsh could both start out wide with Aaron Connolly revealed to be struggling with a back problem.

Potter has a huge call to make in the final third as Neal Maupay has now gone seven Premier League games without finding the back of the net, so the hosting manager may be tempted to trust Welbeck from the first whistle in spite of his missed spot kick against West Brom.

Brighton & Hove Albion possible starting lineup:
Sanchez; Veltman, White, Dunk, Burn; Bissouma, Gross; Jahanbakhsh, Lallana, Trossard; Welbeck
