Following a 4-0 win last time out, Brazil will look to continue building momentum for the World Cup 2022 campaign when they take on Bolivia on Tuesday.

The Selecao have already booked their place in this year's tournament and still boast an unbeaten record in their 16 qualifying matches.

Coming into the campaign as major underdogs, Bolivia had a tough start to World Cup Qualifying, but La Verde were briefly able to keep their slim qualification hopes alive with a slight resurgence.

Eye-catching wins over Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay in a four-game span saw Cesar Farias's side move onto 15 points from 14 games, putting them in contention to sneak into fifth place if they could continue their upturn in form.

They were unable to do that, though, with La Verde having now lost their last three matches, firstly falling to Venezuela and Chile early in the new year.

Farias's men returned to action this week with a trip to Colombia, and they were sent home empty-handed as Luis Diaz, Miguel Borja and Mateus Uribe got on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win for the hosts.

Now sitting ninth with one game to go, and with no chance of qualifying, La Verde have very little to play for, but they will still be hoping to record what would be a historic win against the South American giants.

Brazil headed into the World Cup Qualifying campaign as heavy favourites to progress at the top end of the South American group, and they have delivered on their potential so far.

In their 16 outings, the Selecao have picked up 13 victories and not suffered a defeat, leading Argentina by four points at the top of the group as a result.

That has been down to a fine run of performances at both ends of the pitch, with no other nation matching their tallies of 36 goals scored and only five conceded, having most recently recorded consecutive 4-0 wins.

They firstly rounded off the first round of fixtures of the new year with a thrashing of Paraguay, before returning to action with a home victory over Chile last time out, as Neymar, Vinicius Junior, Philippe Coutinho and Richarlison all got on the scoresheet.

Before their rescheduled meeting with Argentina to round off qualifying, Tite's side will aim to continue building confidence with another big win in La Paz before they head into the competition looking for a sixth World Cup title.

Bolivia seem to be going through a transitional period, having not called up experienced players like Juan Carlos Arce, Rodrigo Ramallo, Leonel Justiniano and goalkeeper Carlos Lampe.

Arguably the biggest absence is record appearance maker and top scorer Marcelo Moreno, with Juan Montenegro likely to be given another start up front as a result.

Jose Sagredo and Moises Villarroel will bring much-needed international experience in defence and midfield respectively, but Jaume Cuellar is suspended for the hosts.

Brazil boast a squad full of quality and experience, but they will be without two of their star attackers due to suspension.

Neymar, who took his tally to 71 international goals in 117 caps last time out, and Vinicius Junior both picked up bookings against Chile which will rule them both out of this contest.

Brazil do still have plenty of attacking quality to call upon, though, with the likes of Antony, Richarlison, Lucas Paqueta, Gabriel Martinelli and Philippe Coutinho battling for starts up front.

Further back, Fabinho will hope to come back in at the base of midfield, while Marquinhos and Thiago Silva are expected to play alongside one another at centre-back with Eder Militao also vying for a start.

Manchester City's Ederson has pulled out of the squad and been replaced by Everson, but Alisson Becker is expected to be handed the gloves again.

La Paz is certainly not the easiest place to go, but Brazil possess the quality to post a resounding victory on Tuesday.

With their wealth of attacking talent, even in the absence of Neymar and Vinicius, the Selecao will expect to help themselves to several goals against one of South America's strugglers.
