Bayern Munich are reportedly considering appointing Ajax boss Erik ten Hag as a replacement for Nico Kovac.

Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has reportedly emerged as a managerial target for Bayern Munich.

Nico Kovac is nearing the end of his first year in charge of Bayern, and the German giants only require one win from their final two games to win the Bundesliga title.

However, according to Marca, Bayern are considering replacing the Croatian with Ten Hag ahead of the next campaign.

Ten Hag has emerged as one of the most sought-after managers in European football, having taken Ajax to the brink of a surprise appearance in the Champions League final.

The 49-year-old is likely to receive formal offers should Ajax see off Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool to lift the trophy in June, but it appears that Bayern may attempt to steal a march on some of their rivals.

Former Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui is also being linked with a move to the Allianz Arena.
