Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has revealed that talks over a new contract at Camp Nou have been put on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 27-year-old only has two years left to run on his current deal with Quique Setien's side, and Bayern Munich are thought to be interested in signing him during this summer's transfer window.

Ter Stegen has revealed that he has held talks with the Spanish champions over an extension but discussions have been "parked" amid the worldwide pandemic.

"We have already had the first conversations," Ter Stegen said during an Instagram Live. "But as I said, we have parked it. There are much more important things. I am very happy here and the sporting situation is good, the team is doing well. What more can I ask for?"

The Germany international has again been in impressive form for Barca during the 2019-20 campaign, keeping 11 clean sheets in 34 appearances in all competitions.

Ter Stegen has won four La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey crowns and the Champions League since arriving in Spain from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014. body check tags ::
