Lionel Messi has rubbished claims that he is set to leave Barcelona for Inter Milan this summer.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner has been widely linked with a move to San Siro in recent weeks, with the Italian side's former president Massimo Moratti claiming that Inter should make an attempt to land the Argentine.

However, Messi has since taken to social media to deny reports linking him with a switch to Antonio Conte's side, commenting "lie number one" over a screengrab of TNT Sports' tweet fuelling speculation over a move.

The 32-year-old also posted "lie number two" after claims that he paid Ronaldinho's bail money for him to be released from prison in Paraguay.

Messi began his youth career at Newell's Old Boys in his native Argentina, and he has also been quick to shut down suggestions that he is set to return to his homeland, adding to his post: "What they said in this same media about Newell's a few weeks ago was also false. Thank goodness that nobody believes them."

Messi has chalked up 627 goals in 718 games across all competitions for Barcelona. body check tags ::
