How Atletico Madrid could line up against Barcelona

Sports Mole looks at how Atletico Madrid could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid's squad is in excellent shape ahead of Saturday's La Liga contest against Barcelona, with Kieran Trippier the home side's only injury doubt at this stage.

Trippier was withdrawn in the first half of the Champions League fixture against AC Milan on Tuesday and has therefore emerged as a doubt for the league game at Wanda Metropolitano.

Marcos Llorente could move to right-back if Trippier does not recover, with head coach Diego Simeone believed to be considering a back four for this weekend's contest.

Stefan Savic was suspended for the clash with Milan but is available for this contest and will start, while Renan Lodi is in line for a position at left-back.

It is difficult to know exactly what Simeone has in mind in terms of formation for this match, but Rodrigo De Paul is pushing to be involved, which could see Koke move into a wider area.

The Atletico boss has a big decision when it comes to the final third of the field; Luis Suarez is a certain starter, while Angel Correa, Joao Felix and Antoine Griezmann are also competing for starting roles.

Felix could just get the nod alongside Luis Suarez as part of a front two, with Griezmann set to start on the bench against his parent club despite coming off the bench to score against Milan in Europe.

Atletico Madrid possible starting lineup: Oblak; Llorente, Savic, Felipe, Lodi; Koke, Kondogbia, De Paul, Carrasco; Suarez, Felix
