Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati believes he is under no additional pressure after inheriting the number 10 shirt from Lionel Messi.

After winning six Ballon d'Or's while at Camp Nou, Messi gave an emotional farewell to the Catalan giants earlier this summer before joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The Argentine's famed 10 jersey has since been passed down to Fati, who returned after 10 months out with a knee injury against Levante at the weekend and netted his side's third in injury time.

Fati does not believe that the shirt will weigh too heavily on his shoulders, telling reporters: "It is not a pressure. I am proud to wear the number 10 after Leo. I am happy with the club and captains for the opportunity."

The 18-year-old's tally for Barcelona now stands at 14 goals and five assists from 44 games in all competitions, and he could earn more minutes in Wednesday's Champions League clash with Benfica.

Ronald Koeman's side have also been handed a double fitness boost ahead of the midweek trip to the Estadio da Luz, with Pedri and Jordi Alba both back in team training. body check tags ::
