Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Alaves.
Sports Mole

Barcelona will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats when they continue their La Liga campaign at home to Alaves on Saturday night.

The Catalan giants lost 2-1 at home to Real Madrid in El Clasico last weekend before suffering a 1-0 defeat away to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday evening, which led to Ronald Koeman's dismissal.

The Catalan giants have picked up 15 points from 10 matches to sit ninth in the table, and the team will now be looking to the future as they seek a replacement for the outgoing Koeman.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Alaves, who are currently 16th in Spain's top flight.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Alaves)

Ousmane Dembele was not involved against Rayo on Wednesday night, but the France international is now back in full training after recovering from a knee injury, so he could be available against Alaves.

Martin Braithwaite

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Martin Braithwaite underwent knee surgery in the middle of September, and the attacker will be sidelined until at least the latter stages of 2021.

Pedri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Teenage midfielder Pedri is currently struggling to overcome a thigh problem, and it is unclear when the Spaniard will be available for selection once again.

Frenkie de Jong

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Alaves)

Frenkie de Jong was not available against Rayo on Wednesday due to the hamstring problem that he picked up against Real Madrid, but Barcelona have not put a timeframe on his recovery thus far.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Alaves)

Ronald Araujo has recently been on the sidelines with the hamstring injury that he picked up while representing Uruguay during the international break, but he could potentially recover in time for this match.

Ansu Fati

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Alaves)

Ansu Fati missed out against Rayo on Wednesday due to a minor knee problem, and the quick turnaround for this match means that he is also a major doubt for Saturday's contest.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no suspension issues ahead of the clash with Alaves.
