How Barcelona could line up against Napoli

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Thursday's Europa League clash with Napoli.

Barcelona will again be missing a number of first-team players through injury for Thursday's Europa League knockout round playoff first leg against Napoli.

Samuel Umtiti, Ansu Fati, Sergi Roberto and Alejandro Balde remain on the sidelines through injury, while Clement Lenglet and Memphis Depay are still fitness doubts for the home side.

Ronald Araujo is also out due to the issue that he picked up against Espanyol at the weekend, so Eric Garcia could come into the back four alongside Gerard Pique, although Oscar Mingueza is also an option.

Sergino Dest, meanwhile, should feature at right-back, as experienced defender Dani Alves has not been included in the squad for the latter stages of the Europa League.

Head coach Xavi has decisions to make in the final third of the field, with on-loan striker Luuk de Jong putting himself in contention for a start after coming off the bench to register a late equaliser against Espanyol.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, meanwhile, is pushing to make his full debut for the Catalan giants and could start at centre-forward, with Adama Traore and Gavi potentially keeping their spots in the wide areas.

Ousmane Dembele is also pushing to be involved from the start, having featured off the bench against Espanyol, while Nico Gonzalez is an option for change in the middle of the park.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen: Dest, Pique, Garcia, Alba; F de Jong, Busquets, Pedri; Traore, Aubameyang, Gavi body check tags ::
