How Barcelona could line up against Ferencvaros

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Ferencvaros.

Barcelona will be looking to open their Champions League Group G campaign with a victory when they welcome Hungarian champions Ferencvaros to Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

Ronald Koeman's side, who were thumped 8-2 by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of last season's European Cup, will enter the match off the back of a 1-0 loss to Getafe in La Liga on Saturday.

The Catalan giants will therefore be determined to return to winning ways in what will be their first ever clash with Ferencvaros, who are in the group stages of this competition for the first time in 25 years.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Barca could line up on home soil.

Out: Marc-Andre ter Stegen (knee), Jordi Alba (hamstring)
Doubtful: Samuel Umtiti (knee)

Barca will again be without the services of their number one goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen through injury, meaning that Neto will continue between the sticks, while ongoing knee problems are again likely to rule French defender Samuel Umtiti out of the contest.

Jordi Alba is also out with a hamstring issue, but Junior Firpo returned from a hamstring problem of his own to make the bench against Getafe and could now take Sergino Dest's spot in the XI for this match.

Koeman will shuffle his pack from the side that started on Saturday, with Ansu Fati and Philippe Coutinho expected to return in the final third of the field.

The Barca boss recently suggested that he has no plans to rest Lionel Messi, though, meaning that the Argentine should again start at the tip of the attack, while Antoine Griezmann is also likely to feature despite struggling to make his mark in the team's league loss at the weekend.

Miralem Pjanic is pushing for a spot in the middle of the park, but Sergio Busquets could again continue alongside Frenkie de Jong as part of a 4-2-3-1 formation as Koeman does not really have the luxury of resting players ahead of El Clasico on October 24.
