Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are reportedly both in the running to sign Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old's contract at the Allianz Arena is due to expire at the end of June, and he will be leaving the German champions this summer in search of pastures new.

Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked with the German, who has scored twice in 31 appearances for Bayern during the 2020-21 campaign.

However, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, both Tottenham and Barca are also interested in signing the experienced centre-back on a free transfer.

Boateng has made 355 appearances for Bayern in all competitions since arriving from Manchester City in 2011, winning eight Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns.

The defender has scored once in 22 league appearances during the 2020-21 campaign. body check tags ::
